Filter Angel is the ultimate accessory for those aficionados who enjoy the great taste of coffee brewed with sustainable cloth filters that are easy to maintain and contain no bleaching chemicals or microplastics.
Stylish, simple and adjustable, it is designed to be used with 'coffee sock' style filters allowing both drip and immersion pour-over methods to be used with a wide range of pots, mugs and tumblers.
Why cloth filters?
Cloth filters are widely used in South and Central America to make coffee with deep, rich flavor. Long-lasting, they can be used for hundreds of brews. They reduce waste and do not contain the bleach found in paper filters or microplastics found in k-cups. These 'coffee socks' with a handle are available in local supermarkets, online and in our store.
As a filtering medium, they strike a happy balance between paper and metal filters.
Compared to paper, they let through more of the aromatic coffee oils that are responsible for producing much of the flavor and character of a satisfying brew. Compared to metal, they remove more of the small grounds that produce sediments.
Therefore, they produces a brew with a flavor profile that is richer and more robust than that produced with a paper filter but that is cleaner than a brew made with a metal filter.
Cloth also flows more freely than paper, so that it takes less time to create that perfect cup!
